I’m Adele: mover, educator, and creator of Rise in Movement. I’ve been waiting for you. The YOU that’s amazing, radiant and filled with potential.

The one that for some reason (or ten!) you’ve forgotten about, because right now you’re feeling less-than, tired, busy, stressed, but you know life has more to offer you. And you have more to offer life. Well, you’ve come to the right place, because…

…this is the place where we make that happen. Through movement. Through community. Through self-study.

I believe that what is inside you is special and here for a reason. But here’s the harsh truth – it’s no longer acceptable to ignore the very reality of you being here. It’s not longer acceptable have a passive relationship with your body, your self, or your life.

I ignored my body and it dealt me a life-altering blow of bowel cancer when I was just 25 years old. I won’t dare let you ignore, deny or misappropriate yours. It’s just not worth it.

 

My mission with Rise in Movement is to help you remember who you are – or discover who you want to be – and to clear out whatever is in your way so that you are connected to, and move from, the wisdom of your whole self every day. Going to a yoga class or your usual fitness session is great, but I’m talking simple daily practices, to support a real shift in your relationship to life.

I’ll help you awaken to what you have at your finger tips (and all of your 37 trillion cells!) though the tools of yoga, free movement, meditation and desire mapping – with inspiring free practices that are time-sensitive, accessible and not at all over-the-top, weird or woo-woo, 1-2-1 coaching, and supportive trainings to up-shift your life at every level.

Yoga, it’s simple really: Be present. Arrive into yourself. Actualise what’s possible. Up-shift your life. (Note! At no point do I mention putting your leg behind your head or fancy circus tricks).

My practice has taught me many many things, of which you can read about here. In a nutshell it gave me the gift of embodiment, and in that, a vital and resilient body and mind. It guided me to trust the process, no matter what ugliness life threw at me. It allowed me to free up energy by being ok with what is, accepting and content, while having an empowering vision for the future. It reminds me every day to celebrate here, now. That’s what I hope for you too.

embodiment [em-bod-ee-muh-nt]. (noun). the act of embodying :  the state of being embodied :  giving a body to an idea or concept : a tangible or visible form of an idea, quality, or feeling “she seemed to be a living embodiment of vitality” : a state of relatedness between self, other and the environment : a way of living or inhabiting the world through ones acculturated body : the biological and physical presence of our bodies, which are a necessary precondition for subjectivity, emotion, language, thought and social interaction : how experience ‘gets under our skins’ and shapes anatomy and physiology.
